Yea i knew texas would make the list and notre dame for that matter...but to be overrated more than them...They are the ones that put us in the top 5 and we usually end up being a 12-15 ranked team....Texas and ND usually make the top 25 just because of who they are....and they never stay there.

Everyone has an opinion. My opinion is Barrett Sallee is an angry woman trapped in a man's body, drives slow in the left lane, and holds his/her beer with no pinky grip

Barrett Sallee is #1 on my list of journalist with no talent... How can you be overrated with the talent we have on our team? We are rated fairly based on our talent. If we fall short of accomplishing great things, then it will be because we didn't get it done, not because we were unfairly rated.

I fear he may be right. People have already forgotten how O got the job...he did just well enough not to get fired...expect the same or a little worse records that Miles was producing, but you can absolutely forget beating Bama over the next 5/6 years, which means no SEC Cabmpionships or NC. Pretty sure this is not what Tiger Nation wants...

Let's see: LSU has been one of the top producers of NFL talent, has arguably the best DC in the college game, consistently has top 10 recruiting classes, will have an offense in 2017 that consists of more than toss dive-toss dive-pass-punt, and is ranked in the top 10-15 for the upcoming season behind Louisville, which LSU stomped in the bowl game. Yep, LSU is definitely the most overrated team in the country. /s

I'm not saying LSU is more overrated than Louisville or Texas, but Barrett Sallee knows his stuff. Let's not forget last year around this time while everyone was pumped about the LSU's chance of winning it all, he was the first one to come out and say LSU had not and would not change much under Miles and Cam, and would go 8-5. Everyone here called him a hater and moron, but turned out he was right all along. I sure hope he is wrong this time, but I won't disagree with his opinions until we prove otherwise on the field.

Never had a chance to prove he was right about 8-5, so he wasn't right all along. It could have been better or worse but we'll never know.

When you fired your HC and OC mid season, it's way worse than 8-5 record

LSU is a wildcard, i dont believe we are overrated. But we are definitely not a shoe in to be a top team. This team has a lot of young players in certain positions. That could be good or bad, you just never know with new players. For all we know Myles Brennan will come in and be amazing much like Jameis Winston was his Freshman year.

Winston was a redshirt freshman when he started for FSU.

I think everyone is underestimating the no Les factor. Not saying LSU might not be overrated, but I don't think they should be number one

well, just prove him wrong

I just don't feel like LSU is getting a ton of love to say they are overrated. Also don't think people realize the talent that's just been sitting idle at LSU under Les the last decade. Think about all the WRs that have transferred and to think of the stable we still have. It's crazy. I hope that guys wrong. I just don't see how a top team talent wise is ranked 12 and is most overrated. But only time will tell.

Another sportswriter making shock comments to get his name out there. I have never heard of this guy until this point. LSU, overrated!? We are rarely giving our due. We have to dig ourselves up to the top 5 and then if we lose to Bama, they drop us to like #15. While teams like FSU, OSU, and Michigan lose to unranked teams and might, MIGHT, fall 2 or 3 spots. LSU has been getting the short end of the stick for years. I think people don't realize the impact of not having Les and Cam will have. LSU won't be handicapped by them anymore.

LSU dropped to 15 because it was there 3rd loss ! These pundits are not wrong for saying LSU is overrated because they haven't proved otherwise in years.

Brazos: Okay, what about FSU!? They get blown out by the team we blew out in our bowl game. People weren't talking about UNC until they beat FSU. Yet FSU was ranked higher than us. That same team beat Michigan who everyone was considering a NC contender (they also loss to in unranked team by the way) and Michigan too was ranked higher than us. Lets be serious. Does anyone think Michigan would have stood a snowball's chance in he'll of beating LSU. Yet they were still ranked higher than us. Explain that? Every year there's at least 4 to 5 teams ranked higher than LSU that would get decimated if they faced LSU. That's a fact!

yah over rated seems right lsu should have beatin florida in 2016 no problem, should have beating auburn no problem, should have beatin wisconson no problem, ah alabama you cant screw up in that game, lsu didnt capitalize on bama mistakes in 2016 game. so the way lsu played in 2016 ppl think lsu will be overrated in 2017. sure would like to see lsu blow every team off the field in 2017 :) i would be one happy tiger. lsu needs alot of improvement in all phases on the field including coaching.

Who cares? All we have to do is win to prove him or anyone else who feels this way, wrong. However; if we don't then they could have a point.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is with the talent we have every year, you're always in the running for a NC. So to say the Tigers are overrated is not very intelligent, imo.

Last year when LSU was loaded with frist round talent he predicted 8-5 and 5th in the west. Well LSU finished 8-4 (wouldve been 9-4) and tied for 2nd in west but might as well been 5th. Hopefully he is wrong this year.
