Five-star Alabama commit Dylan Moses spoke with SECCountry.com this week and said that he would have signed with LSU over the Crimson Tide had Les Miles not been fired.

Moses, a Baton Rouge native, was very close with Miles and his family but ultimately decided that Alabama was where he wanted to be.

He gave his commitment to Nick Saban on Sunday.
quote:

“Oh yeah. No doubt. That would have been the school I would have went to if Les Miles was still there,” Moses said. “It’s a done deal (now). He’s gone. I still have a relationship with him, but I haven’t spoken to him since he was fired. I’m still going to keep a close connection with him.”

The Under Armour All-American also said that Alabama has always been a school he’s considered ever since he got offered by the Tide back in eighth grade, but again, he would not have been playing for Alabama if it wasn’t for Miles now being unemployed.

“I always told myself that if Les Miles was to ever leave LSU, Alabama would be my second choice,” Moses said. “That’s how it’s always been. When I got on that visit, it just reassured me that that was the place I wanted to be. What place would you rather be that than the place with the greatest college coach? For me, I had no choice but to go there. I love it there.”
The 6-2, 220-pound RB/LB prospect from Baton Rouge, LA has attended University High for the past three years but is currently attending IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL for his senior year.

Really? You were born in Baton Rouge. You went to University High on LSU's campus. You have grown up hanging around the LSU football facility. All these things said, the ONLY REASON you were coming to LSU and now the ONLY REASON you are not coming to LSU is Les Miles. LES MILES! Sorry but I am calling bullshite on that.

Whatever you say Dylan. If Les isn't fired, we lose 5-6 games and he still doesn't come here.

Better to have gotten rid of Les than land Moses

Good trade off.

Yep, and that's why he decommitted from Les Miles. He should quit trying to BS people and just say he liked Bama more.

Excuses are like rectums...everybody has one and they all stink. You turned your back on your home...end of story. Les Miles will coach next year! Bet he doesn't go play for him.

Champagne, Bama and ISIL... Is there really a difference? One group kills you if you do not take their slanted religion seriously enough and the other one will kill you if you do not take their slanted religion seriously enough. Some resemblance actually...

Why did he decommit from Miles then

LSU isn't about you Dylan. It's not about Les Miles, or even King Alexander, or Joe Alleva, and it's most certainly not about me either. It's much much Bigger than all combined, and it means more than all combined as well. It will be here after all are gone, and was here before any of us graced this planet. Go where you're happy, but LSU doesn't beat to your drummer, or anyone's in particular.

This kid is the Kim Kardashian of high school recruits. Every time he needs a little attention he posts something about his college choice. "Im committed. Im decommitted. Here's my top 5. Im going to commit on this date, set your calendars. Im committed again..."

Yeah, I'm going to say his full of shite. Les was the coach when he decommitted over a year ago and he continually left LSU off his T5 schools. This is just his cop-out excuse to make it official on his commitment to Alabama.

If you pick a school based on a coach, you're picking it for the wrong reasons. Sadly, many players do this and it's no wonder so many transfer the first time something doesn't match what a coach told them in the recruiting process.

Yea.. I disagree. The coach is your leader for the next four years of your life and shapes you into the player you can be. Also is one of the biggest variables (as we know) deciding how good your team will be. I don't think picking based on coaching is a wrong reason..

Ran out on his high school, ran out on his state's university, have a feeling if war broke out between the USA and China, he would become Chinese. If the young man feels more comfortable at Alabama, cannot fault his decision. Best of luck

When this guy transfered to IMG it should have dawned on tigers fans that he was a goner. We will be fine without him.

If true, then why decommit in the first place?

Another day in the spotlight to make it publicly know. Same as every other kid. Not mad at the kid at all. If you heart ain't here then you won't represent the Tigers right.
