I'm actually headed there mid-late September. Do you think its gonna be a good time to catch?

In my terrible opinion it depends on the weather. If we get a couple of cool fronts come through and the water temp starts dropping a little, yes. If not, it will be pretty slow. There is always someone out there catching fish.

Just to give you an idea how slow the fishing is. I ran down to the indian mounds Saturday morning around 9:30 and there were 4 boats out there. That place is typically packed. There were maybe 8-10 trucks at cypress bend.

Funny story, I was at the mounds idling a ridge from one point to another and this guy and his son comes by me and cuts me off. They go circle the point I was heading to and move on. They then go to the next point and drop a buoy. I made a couple passes on the first point and see a small group of fish. I spot lock and catch 3 fish on my first 3 casts. I look over and there are watching us. My dad then catches one. They went pick up their buoy and hauled arse. I then went to the point they left and caught a couple more.
