Everyone calls Rizzo's hit "just a pop up". Madden said itnperfect after the game. Rizzo is the perfect guy to have up in that situation. Doesn't try to do too much with 2 strikes. Chokes up and will use the entire field. You call it just a pop up but that is great 2 strike hitting. Put it in play and make the defense make a play. You get a young guy up there and he is swinging for the fences and trying to be a hero. That being said, I walk Rizzo and face Contreras with a force at every bag. But they get paid the big bucks to make those decisions. Go Cubs!!!

Forecast doesn't look good for this evening. It shouldn't be heavy rain, but it looks like steady rain from about 4:00 into overnight. Also, the wind is supposed to be blowing 20-25mph from the NE; that is pretty much straight in from CF at Wrigley.

I think the wind could play to the Cubs advantage, but if they have to postpone today, the Nats would be able to go to Strasburg on full rest in the make up tomorrow, then back to Gio in game 5.

If it's going to get rained out, hopefully they call it before the game starts so Jake doesn't start the game. Cubs could always go back to Hendricks in the make up tomorrow and back to Lester in game 5, but they have the pitching advantage today.

good 2 strike hitting

Agree. Similar to Reddicks approach against Kimbrel.
