I recently purchased a set of Ping G irons that came with the U wedge. It's 50 degree loft so you can if you want to.

I bought the Ping Glide 2.0 wedges in 52-56-60 so I pulled the U wedge out of my bag. I really like my Glides, they hit solid and spin the shite out of the ball.

Just got a 56° and a 60° Cleveland RTX-3 wedge from my kids as Father's Day and birthday gifts. should be getting my 52° here shortly as well. Here's a link to a video from Cleveland on their newest wedges...I got the rust finish.

I would ditch the U Wedge with the set. The only pitching wedge I've ever kept that matched a set was a Titleist 690mb PW. Normally just order irons 3-9 with a set, and buy a 48 degree Vokey for the PW. So I would actually advocate for you to drop not only the PW, but the U wedge and replace with some wedges geared towards scoring and not just making contact with the ball.

Cleveland has some very cheap wedges, which would do you well for a 52 degree gap wedge, look for something with 4-8 degrees of bounce depending upon your preference. I would stick with vokey if you don't mind shelling out close to $500 for three new wedges. You can't match a vokey's versatility around the green.

I've heard good things about the Glide wedges, but I've been unimpressed in the past by Ping's wedges. Having said that I will commend them for releasing a low bounce line of wedges in the Glide 2.0 series - may be worth looking into if you want to try to stay with the Ping brand.
