But LSU can also pay big $$$$ to the assistants and also give Herman the opportunity to compete in the best division in the best conference and play vs the best coach in the country. Depends on what accomplishments that Herman wants to have on his final resume' as a college FB coach.

This argument is so freakn dumb it's beyond words. One man cannot support an entire freakn program. UH doesn't pull in the money LSU does period. I don't care who he is he will not dump all his money into a program to bring it up to speed with LSU. He can't keep up with an entire league called the SEC. Everything about LSU is bigger and better. It will take a miracle to get UH where their dreams are for it to be. Can it happen yes will it happen this year, I highly doubt it. The big 12 will not take a risk like that bc they really bring nothing to the table. It hurts their biggest to be rival Texas actually. So until the big 12 actually needs them it's not going to happen period. Idk what y'all don't understand about this?
Now let me move onto USC. If they fire this guy it will be what the 4th or 5th guy in 10 years? Why would he want to go to that mess over there knowing LSU actually gives their coach a chance and will make him lots of money and very possible championship if he comes in and does what he's doing at UH. Saban won't be at bama for much longer so even if he does have trouble with him and beats him every once in a while, he won't have to put up with it long. He will out last Saban if he wins. Possibly even send him into early retirement. Saban can't handle a bad play much less a lose to LSU. Texas would look terrible firing Strong when Strong is turning things around there just terrible. Why would a top notch coach want to be at a place that fires coaches for turning things around?
LSU IMO makes the most sense. All this crap about west coast guy is nonsense, he has no ties here blah blah blah. Neither did Miles and you could go on and on with that list. Money won't be the issue I assure you if we think he's that good of a coach and want him and the feelings mutual the money will be there.
Basically what it comes down to is if Herman thinks it's the right place for him and if LSU thinks he's the guy. If so then we make an offer and bring in the next coach. If not then we look at the next best option. Looks like LSU is on top of things so I'm sure they have their own list and are on the phones now if not last year? GT
