I think it's more of a confidence issue.

Let's be objective here; Harris is a true soph, starting his first year, with no true go-to guy (wanted it to be Dupre, Dural was more experienced, both were sloppy at times). 7-0 start, you relied on the run to soften up the defense. Even against Florida and So Carolina (played one of their better games against us), Fournette commanded the defense to completely change to contain him. And still, Harris wasn't much more than "good enough to win" in those games. Showed flashes, but no real command.

Bama game- they stopped the run without skewing the defense. Harris made a couple of plays, but wasn't ready to shoulder the load. The INT to start the 2nd half showed that Les had been hiding the guy a little, not wanting to expose him too much, as he wasn't there yet.

Arky game; couple of things. Letdown from Bama I believe, plus the loss of the left tackle early. Harris was running for his life out there. no depth on the line.

Ole Miss game; a shining example of the mistaken "we have more talent" issue. Sure, overall we do, but we don't have anyone to handle a couple of their guys, like the 3 sure 1st rd picks. Nkemdiche destroyed the line and it wasn't close.

A&M game- like someone said, it could have been 30-7. And still, they have a DE that was wiping out our pass blocking.
