I have no problem with that. I'm not saying come in right away and start I'm just saying look at these guys around you. The possibilities are endless.

To further answer this thread, every LSU QB to start a season has had a stint with an NFL team if not drafted.
Davey - Patriots
Russell - Raiders
Flynn - Packers, Seahawks, Bills, Packers
Lee - Chargers
Jefferson - Buccaneers
Mettenberger - Titans
But my guess is that if Patterson didn't already know this, he was made aware some time ago.

Pass for 20 td's in a season at LSU and you'll be the 1st overall pick and the greast QB in LSU history. I repeat not 40 Tds just 20 and not 4,000 yards passing just 2500.
