Four Game Body of Work Against Alabama Is The Real Issue

I , like many of you , attended the game on Saturday and left with a really painful punch to the gut... again against Alabama. I was also at the miserable NC game in 2012, and every Gump contest since. I don't think our fans' current frustration is so much due to THIS game( where I think we played much better than we realistically expected with no passing game and so many young guys) but the fact that we have extracted no level of revenge against the Gumps since the NC debacle. Same old song. We got our hopes up and should have won the regular season game in 2012, but a last minute defensive letdown. In 2013 we simply got run over. On Saturday ( aside from the passing game woes and officials), with hope finally for a win, another last minute defensive letdown. Our frustration comes from the last 4 game body of work and the same result in varying methods. The deep down angst is the fear that the same results against the Gumps will continue as long as these two coaches and the recruiting landscape remain constant. We ,as LSU fans are eternal optimists, but the 4 game Gump body of work is a tough reality.

Saban >>>>Miles.............

That's part of it. Miles will never beat Saban again. It's mojo, karma, entitlement, better players, better paid refs, better every.... thing.... Get over it. We lose at least one game every year from here until Lil' Nickie retires. Book it.

LSU was better and should have won both 2012/2014. Sucks, but reality is we got 2 Ls

The truth is that Miles has coached the hell out of this bunch, who were given up for dead only a month ago. For them to lose a game that they dominated at the last minute to the red team carries an exquisite pain. But, really, they lost composure in the final minutes (as they did against Ole Miss, too.) and this is the hallmark of a group that is young and inexperienced as a whole.
The Sabanites and Miles Maligners will say what they will but I, for one, choose to believe.
