So I'm bit in the arse with bows recently. Never owned one and don't know where to start other than knowing my draw length (29") and preferred weight (60-70). I'll mainly be shooting into foam, but might get into a little hunting later on after I get established.

Oh gracious OB, bless me with thy recommendations.

You are going to need to provide a budget...

I've shot the more expensive Bow Techs and Mathews and I don't see that much of a difference from the $700 PSE I bought.

Go to Bass Pro/Cabelas/Bowie and shoot a few and see what you like. They can find one that fits you good.

Also, there are several good used ones available on eBay and sites like Louisiana Sportsman.

Mathews or Hoyt. I have a Mathews Drenalin but wish I would've gone with the Hoyt.

What's your budget?

My next bow will more than likely be a new Bear, unless I can find a really good deal on someone letting go of a switchback or something.

go to a bow shop and check out some of their used bows

ask to shoot a few different ones and buy the one that feels the most comfortable
