I usually use a drip pan. Either to hold water for moisture in the cook or to catch the drippings to make a sauce.

do you think moisture is needed in the BGE? not saying you're right or wrong but its a good debate...


I havent had the BGE for long.. but i have a propane smoker that had a water pan... the issue i face with that one is when the water burns out the temp goes up... b/c there is less to heat... so to me it makes the temperature less stable.. and thats my favorite thing about the BGE... putting it one 250 and going to zzzz then coming back to it at 250..
