yall gotta read the bio of alvin roy.
while serving in europe in wwII he drove the army guys who would represent the usa in the olympics.
he went back to b.r. and opened a weight lifting gym. he convinced a ner-do-well Istrouma h.s. to try weight training. they went on to win state twice. then he sold dietzel on weight training.
it was alvin roy that brought the 58 n.c. to lsu.
then he was hired by the s.d. chargers for weight training and he brought what was legal at that time - steroids to pro football. he had seen the russians using it.
