Do you bring your own gear on a charter?
The one time I chartered I wished I brought my own gear.
He had spinning gear spooled with mono for throwing popping corks and you really needed braid on a casting setup throwing jigheads to catch them that day.
He had his own personal casting rods that he used to catch the majority of the fish because they weren't hitting on popping cork and you couldn't feel the light bite on his customer gear.
I get why he does it that way (because most people chartering an inshore trip are fishing illiterate) but I'm a big enough gear snob that my stuff would've run circles around his customer gear.
