You learn necessary skills by having to approach a woman and ask her out. Both how to do it and also how to handle rejection. You also had to learn trust without cell phones, you set a time and date to be somewhere and trusted the other person to be there. Once you left the house you had to no way to contact to ensure they were on the way or still coming.
