The UMP was crap and was crap to BOTH teams. Until the bottom of the 6th! He squeezed Floyd out to where nothing was a strike over and over loading the bases. Never let up against LSU after that. That’s why Floyd wasn’t pulled sooner because he was throwing strikes that were being called balls. Floyd was pitching an outstanding game with a low pitch count until the Ump intervened. Who knows if we would have won the game or not under different circumstances but that Ump had an agenda and absolutely altered the course of that game. Ump should be investigated immediately!

you can't really tell by this ball game because of the crappy ump. he was bad both ways but imo we would've chased the first pitcher out of the game fairly quickly. everything he threw was low and we would've been walking and then hitting when he was forced to throw strikes.
on the other hand, Floyd was pitching to a normal strike zone. no doubt he benefitted from bad calls as well, but not as many as the WF first pitcher because he had better control. it would have affected his box score had the game been called correctly, and WF would probably have had some more success, although he was still pretty sharp.
what really drove me nuts about the umping was the inconsistency. my wife who knows nothing about baseball could even see it. I remember one series when the same pitch was thrown to wake 3 times in a row. 2 strikes and one ball. it was crazy. but even my wife could see it.
