I was under the impression that once your liver had cirrhotic scarring it was permanent damage. I know the liver heals itself, but not that much lol. But about 6 months ago, my gastro told me I no longer have cirrhosis. I sure feel like any other healthy 31 year old, I have 0 symptoms now. It probably has to do with my age and diet/exorcise. I did a pretty strict keto diet for 2 years, and I feel like that helped some of it. I did lots of research about the effects of a ketogenic diet on the liver, and there seems to be some evidence to support that it could help.

Had a friend die on the toilet from cirrhosis. He was 35. Also had a friend die of heart attack from years of steroids abuse and three of fentanyl (two were brothers). They all went to SLU in the 1990s. Life is short folks. Be kind to your friends.
