Is Joe Burrow coming back to LSU for one more 15-0 season?

How does Milroe before DeBoer compare to Penix before DeBoer?

The point is that Milroe under Saban was MUCH better than Penix was before playing for DeBoer.

DeBoer significantly improved Penix, so he should be able to significantly improve Milroe.

Maybe if he were a pocket passer. I’ve witnessed some pretty next level playmaking from him. He’s not average.

If he was average in the Auburn game I hate to see him play if he ever gets above average.

Vegas has better odds they go 9-3 than 10-2.

Vegas also has Milroe with the 4th best Heisman odds (behind Beck, Ewers and Dillon Gabriel). Our degree of success this year will depend on many things other than Milroe, he'll be fine, and so will Ty Simpson be as backup..

If DeBoer has him playing like a top 3 SEC QB, where does Bama fall this season?

I believe Milroe will be a top 3 QB in the SEC due more to this being his 3rd year than DeBoer. I think he will be vastly improved this year and one of Georgia, Alabama, or Texas wins the SEC.

Who is going to be the center will have more of an impact than coaching. It seems like half of his big plays running last year were a result of him having to improvise after fielding a grounder or lunging sideways to catch an errant snap.

So, an average Bama QB went 12-1 in the regular season having only one lose to an eventual playoff team, wins the SEC championship and makes CFP, and then loses to eventual CFP Champion???

If Milroe plays that well then, obviously , Alabama will be a serious contender to win the SEC.

Personally, I am not a huge Milroe fan

You aren't a fan of your team's starting QB?

Most of his bad plays were due to errant snaps, too.

I think he is a very average SEC qb.

It is like there are some supposed Alabama fans that have completely forgotten about Jalen Hurts and his progression as a passer. They also seem to completely forget that last year was the first year that Milroe got any meaningful playing time and he was thrust into the starting role. And they also seem to forget that he had a brand new offensive coordinator who seemed to take a few games before he figured out how to make use of Milroe’s athletic assets while minimizing his liabilities with decision making and reads.

I think Milroe will look much more polished this fall that he did last year.

He definitely improved over the course of the season. I still say he is a RB playing QB. Not a natural QB and not gonna ever do much in NFL.

But none of that may matter if DeBoer knows how to take advantage of his strengths. Glad he isnt our #1 as limited upside IMO.

Milroe wouldn't be QB1 at Aggie if he transferred?

Child, please.

Everyone said the same about Jalen Hurts at Alabama. Then he went to a QB friendly offensive system that was able to utilize his skill set and he finished second in Heisman balloting. Since then he has only made two NFL pro-bowls.

I am NOT saying that Milroe will do the same. I am saying it is possible to teach a running back playing quarterback to be a quarterback.
