McElwain won the SEC East two of the three years he was there. It took just one bad season for Florida to fire him. Then Mullen had two 10+ win seasons and won the East once in his first three seasons. One bad season got him fired. And what did it accomplish?

No, Alabama won the SEC championship games in 2021 and 2023, thus winning the SEC. They won the SEC two of the three years since covid. In 2022 Georgia won the SEC by beating the brakes off of their SEC west opponent. That bludgeoning also happened to be the high water mark for LSU football since ...
