As Mark May noted on College Football Final, the reporter asked the question wrong.
Had the question been about Richt's record — 2-10 — against Top 10 teams, then the coach would've had to answer it. But the wording of the inquiry allowed Richt to get away with becoming self-righteously indignant...

Maybe his fury over having to adhere to his corporate sponsorship after such a heartbreaking loss is why he lashed out at the end....
