JD should win the Heisman, but the Pac 12 didn't "Switch" to 9 conference games for SOS purposes. It has been that way since it was the Pac 10 and they played round robin without a CCG....

Washington (regardless of record) beating ASU (again regardless of record) is a big achievement.
ASU has outright owned Washington for over 20 years. This is their 3rd win in the last 16 games. Was it lucky or flukey? Yes. But they got a W that was a massive landmine and beat a team that ruin...

Jayden Daniels is probably the best player in the country, but wins matter. Even with Penix getting caught in whatever strange Apache curse that Washington always catches against JD's former team.
The Heisman isn't a best player award. It's a best player on a top 5ish type team....

Jayden Daniels was one of the most prolific passers in California high school history at the highest level of competition. Full stop.
