I definitely agree that they still have a lot to prove. Having said that I think they have the second most to prove just behind Missouri. Having said that I think Georgia, Mississippi State and Auburn have the next most to prove in that order.
To summarize:

Manziel is obviously a great quarterback. I can't dispute that. Manziel is an exceptional runner and a slightly above average passer. Having said that McCarron has won 2 national championships as a starter and has better intangibles. I also think Manziel's off the field drama could catch up with him...

I'm expecting him to win the job by the end of the season. I'm not high on Worley and really like Ferguson. Having said that he will have a baptism by fire being just a true freshman. As a Tennessee fan you probably are able to more accurately analyze the Vol's quarterback situation. ...

I may be wrong about Ole Miss but it is my understanding that they have a culture of old money which makes their alumni network very appealing. I also think that their campus is really pretty. Perhaps the best in the SEC. Their dorms are also really nice....
