I'm going to label this as somewhat of a conspiracy theory up front. Before his suspension, the only realistic threat to knock Gurley out of the first round was an injury. Given his spot in the draft, the best possible scenario for him was to end the season where it was.

I'm not sure how many points state is averaging this year, but I assume it's over 40. You will have to score more points than your average against Mullen to win this year. The odds do not appear to be in your favor....

Like any good cripple fight, you have to approach this game with an open mind. It's hard to call a game where both teams are equally capable of blowing it, both have mediocre coaches, and neither knows the difference between a QB and, well, anything else.
