Nick Saban Reacts To Texas A&M Firing Head Coach Jimbo Fisher
© Mickey Welsh/Montgomery Advertiser / USA TODAY NETWORK
Just one day after Texas A&M let go of head coach Jimbo Fisher, Alabama head coach Nick Saban had this reaction..
quote:

“I don’t ever like to see anybody get let go, whatever you want to call it, in this business. I know how hard everybody works, I know how difficult it is to sort of build a program, to get players to compete at a high level on a consistent basis, and just have a lot of respect for people who really work hard to try to change the lives of the guys that they’re coaching. Make them better, help them do the right things in terms of getting an education as well as trying to develop them on the football field.

“But we are in a business that you get evaluated based on outcomes and your performance and I hate to see anybody have to go through this. I’ve been fired before, it’s no fun, it’s no fun for your family, but I’m sure that both those guys have great reputations in terms of what they’ve been able to accomplish over the course of their career and I’m sure they’ll have many more opportunities to be successful in the future.”

Has A&M ever though about becoming a football team that follows the model set by the Harlem Globetrotters in basketball?

If A&M can't win, why not be hilarious?

I'll never understand why Bjork isn't fired by giving Fisher an extension back to 10 years when Fisher hadn't done shite. Blow torch to cash like a moron.

Maybe it wasn’t fun for Saban because he didn’t get $76M with the firing.

The next OC for bama

If Saban is looking for an easy and paid exit, hiring Jimbo to be his OC is definitely the way to do it.

Saban being a cuck. He should've just said "Candi Fisher's about to get paid and laid."

I’ve been fired before, it’s no fun, it’s no fun for your "family.."

I don't know, coach. I'd say being fired and then handed $76 million dollars is pretty fricking fun.

Nick he just banked $70+ million and doesn’t have to lift a finger to collect it. My guess he said the same thing ole coach O did …where do I sign and where is the door.

Jimbo will be his OC next year

If that happens, there won't even be a decline. It'll be a straight plummet to rock bottom.

Nothing burger here. With regard to Fisher, Saban is merely saying the “right” things. Saban only wants to win, he could give a rat’s arse about feeling sorry for Dimbo Fisher.
