If u don’t talk about defense. Thompson point is their defense is so good it’s worth them being in lineup
Wins = Good defense and no walks
And I would think Thompson knows what’s important ...

The point Thompson was making is their high level defense makes up for a weaker bat. Especially at important positions like catcher and centerfield.
Example is would you rather Braswell have 20 pt lower BA and not lead SEC in errors?? ...

Another point they made is in 2009 natty season when Austin Nola was a freshman he hit .240 and all the Tiger naysayers dissed him but we don’t win Natl Championship without his defense.

I agree with most except I’d like to see us not throw Herring in 1st two games if possible and start him Game 3
