Classic. Using a message board to put down others for paying attention to message boards.

What's classic is putting me down because I don't give a shite what all the Sunday morning college quarterbacks and sports "experts" think about Georgia's record and reputation.

While this is true, CMR is the one who puts this out for public consumption, first and foremost. At that point it becomes fair game, especially when you see him shrug off huge losses in the last ten years - particularly when the subtext of his entire M.O. is that there are more important things in life than football. This is despite the fact that he is paid $11k+ PER MOTHERfrickING Day to make football and winning games his priority.

So you want a football coach who is ruthless and will do anything just to win games.

I don't.

I wouldn't have been able to root for Georgia for 50 years if I wasn't a DisneyDawg.

Sorry, no poll. I can tell you don't get out much. If you spent time on SEC, rival, and National message boards, or read articles or watched CFB shows that discuss UGA, you would understand that we have a well earned reputation. Its not limited to a few people.

Thanks for telling us that you aren't in position to know the struggles of being a uga fan. I mean, you don't even know our reputation. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.

Well, now, that's just silly. He has mentioned it in passing, but has never made a huge deal over it. The media does, but he does not. He also allows his wife to fix the players Gatorade on the sidelines and has mentioned that. Does that make her "fair game", too?

Because he does not do a public meltdown he shrugs them off? That's dumb, too. Sorry, but it is. Paterno never melted publicly. I don't remember Bear Bryant, either. LOT'S of coaches look cool and calm and save meltdowns for privacy. It's called class and maturity. There is very little more embarrassing than to see a 50-60 year old man jumping up and down and pitching a temper tantrum because he got a bad call from an official.

I hate to tell you this, but there is.

No they don't. They pay him to coach and win football games. He is one of the most successful coaches in the country. He is paid a middle of the pack SEC coaches salary.

If it is such a burden, then go be a "fan" of another team. Just because you pout, scream and holler for a coaches resignation every time your team loses a game does not make you a good fan. As you mature, you will understand this.

an average Oklahoma team at home, lost to an improving, but not great Florida team,

Dude. You are talking about one team with 1 loss and another team that is undefeated and ranked in the top 10.

We should have no problem walking out of Knoxville winning by at least a touchdown with our offensive line, a serviceable quarterback throwing to Mitchell, Godwin, the tight ends I thought we had, the great Sony Michel, and a very under appreciated Keith Marshall

And we would have walked out of there with a 2 TD victory if Michel had not fumbled a kickoff and Reggie Davis had not dropped an easy TD pass. Those were not coaching mistakes. Show me a returner who has never fumbled, or a receiver who has never dropped a pass. It happens.

This Telling me to be a fan of a different team Idea of yours is just as Dumb as telling someone to join a different family if their family is a burden. Age doesn't make those shame pains go away, be it football or family.

Rooting for UGA for 50 years puts me in an excellent position to know the struggles of a UGA fan.

However, knowledge is power which I have a lot of after 50 years of being a UGA fan as well as a fan of college football.

Seriously? You don't know the difference in being born into a family and choosing a sports team to be a fan of?

Point went way over Your head:

You don't choose your team anymore than you choose your family. I was born into both like so many others.

Seems you have been and continue to be isolated from the repurcussions of our reputation, so that 50 years proves nothing but a lack of perspective. That Ignorance is a lack of knowledge.

A coach can teach the best techniques and how to focus but it's not the coach's fault when a player doesn't use those techniques or takes their eye off the ball because they think they caught it before they have.

Since Spurrier is gone, you can now be a South Carolina fan.

After 50 years of being a Georgia fan as well as a college football fan, my knowledge regarding how difficult it is for even a great football team to go the entire season without one or two losses gives me the power to tell you that you and the sports "experts" are full of shite.

You don't get it. Our underachieving rep is not full of shite. It's dead on accurate, and you don't even know it.

Players doing wrong or right is ultimately the coaches responsibility. Coaches get fired when their players fail and get extensions when their players do well.
