Crap. Just use common sense. How could mark Richt possibly know before the 2015 season started that he would be going back to Miami? Miami had not fired their coach, and Georgia had not fired him. Common sense that what you heard was somebody's opinion, yet you want to spread it around here as fact.

Even in THIS thread you star saying that mark Richt had quit on the program.

You wouldn't know what a rational trail was if it bit you on the nose.

The subject of this thread is to draw a line as to what teams we should expect to win based on our talent. You, ironically, criticize me every chance you get. Here is your chance to explain the shortcomings of the team and to define its parameters. Go...

I criticize you because 1) you tend to make comments that have no merit, and 2) you are, apparently, a grown man calling yourself "Peter Buck".

Dude. Read again. You quote him, and then you ignore what he requested?

I guess I wanted more than..."I heard..."

Easy - a deal could have been done beforehand. Proving whether or not one was, that's a different story.

I'll start using "Mick Jagger". Then maybe you'll get it.

Just to be clear, your primary issue with my posting is that I use a handle that is associated with a guy from Athens on a UGA discussion forum?

No, it's just a bonus.

Too bad our pass defense doesn't deflect as well as you.

We don't need any talent to run head long into a stacked box over and over and over again.....you could have a bunch of fat 50 year olds run our offense and not do any worse running between the guards than we do.....I guarantee you I could randomly take 11 fat 50 year olds....women included....and execute that dive play with EXACTLY the same results that our top notch athletes are doing.

I seriously gave never seen a team more committed to a play that has not produced 100 yards in 7 games than this team is to running between the guards...not even the tackles...that is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to far outside.....our centers have to suffering from PTSD from the stress of knowing one of our backs is going to be diving at his ankles from behind on 7 of 10 plays for 60 minutes of football.....that play could not possibly pick up more than 4-1/2 feet.....under ideal conditions.....that means at best you going to be 3rd and 7 on every third snap! That Dawg ain't gonna hunt at any level....yet we do it over and over and over again and then we decide to do it some more......there are 7 & 8 year old teams that have a deeper play book than we do. I know it is a new staff and there ain't but one player on the team who had an offer from anywhere other than UGA but even kids plying sandlot football are capable of learning two plays......throwing deep to the left and then the right...but not us....just diving head long and flat on our face at the line of scrimmage....damnedest shite I ever saw....

Maybe....but I would be shocked if one was made before the season even started.
I could see it if it was done after the Florida game...but not before the season got started.

Shall we put you down as saying that it is the coaching staff and not the talent, then?

YES....I am not in the fire Smart camp but anyone defending a loss to Vandy due to talent is simply insane....Ole Miss I will accept....Missouri I would have accepted as being about equal....UT I was surprised we were in the same stadium to be honest....but Nichols and Vandy? We beat either one of them 99 times out of a hundred with a coaching staff on the sideline and just lining up and playing sand lot football...Hell Vandy would beat Nichols the way we should beat Vandy....it is simply inexcusable and not a promising sign for the future...

A new employee's best days are usually the earliest days they are allowed to perform on their own. It may not be "fair" to expect Smart to perform like a Journeyman Professional but he is being paid like a Journeyman and performing like an apprentice. Again, it took a monumental effort to come up a game plan as ineffective as ours was Saturday to allow a team with a talent gap like there is between UGA and Vandy to go on the road and not only win but DOMINATE our running game.

Missouri...somehow, always manages to do more with less. If everybody else could bottle that we would be a lot better off. I would rather be able to make players play way above their head than have tons of talent that under performs.

Of course, the ideal situation would be to have tons of talent that plays way above their heads!

SMU, USC(w), and Da U showed the way - just pay 'em or let others pay 'em. Hell, there's little downside to that approach now, since the NCAA has shown it won't ever touch the Death Penalty again.

With our luck they would decide to make an example of us!

I'd like the ranters to go on record now as to who we have more talent than right now on the rest of our schedule.

Me, we have more than all teams left other than UF and AU where aid say we are a toss up.

Toss up overall with AU and UF, but I'm not sure how we're going to block either. Gonna have to get a big game from Eason to win either.
