rockchlkjayhku11 Well, this didn't take long you know there are people in the world who think the SAE kid you are talking about AND the football players breaking the law are all pieces of shite, right?

Sure... And those people never broke the law or had their college misgivings reported on the interweb in real time...

I'm 22 now and about to graduate in May I spend maybe $80/week. It's not hard at all!!! I live off campus buy my own groceries, cook my own meals, and I eat pretty well. I usually am a breakfast bar in the morning, turkey sandwich for lunch, and chicken or venison something good for dinner. I don't drink so that helps out on the food bills but 80 a week is easy especially if you don't go out!!!!

If all you eat from the time you wake up until dinner time is a breakfast bar and a turkey sandwich, you must weight like 130 pounds.

One other thing that should be looked at is I'm not a football player so I don't eat as much as these dudes. Another thing is look at all the extra curricular things that offer free dinner at least once a week. These dudes don't do 80 a week because alcohol is so dang expensive!!!!

I guess if you don't want it then don't play. No one is making these guys play football.

And while we're at it: adoring fans, crowds cheering for you every Saturday, countless women throwing themselves at you, and you get to do what most men only dream of: wearing red and white playing football between the hedges with some of the best football talent in the world. Yeah, that's worth getting up at 6am for.

Don't forget the opportunity for a payday greater than any of us will likely ever see. And for the few of us that do see that multi-million dollar payday, how many will see it at just 23-25 years old?

GTFO with this we do work hard bullshite. I'm not saying they don't, but it isn't like there is not some massive reward at the end that 99% of the people in the world will never even get the opportunity to compete for, much less actually achieve. On top of that, they only spend a few years getting there, the rest of us are going to spend much longer getting to a much more mundane reward.

Seriously, any of the players that have that attitude can go play in traffic on the 10 loop.

No where near responsible enough to pull that off. Sure, I have had weeks I do that and even less but then there are those weeks where I eat pretty well and then there are those nights that I feel compelled to buy everyone's drinks. Which is weird because frick that, I hate people

Maybe im missing the point, but their 3 squares a day and rent and utilities and transportation are already provided, so the 71 per week is just bonus cash, right? I know random school expenses come up, got to buy extra shite for a lab, drop some change at beljean to bind a report from time to time, but its still 70 a week pretty much bonus cash, right?

Not just three squares -- three good squares a day. Athletes eat well. At least they did when I was I school.

In addition to full scholarships that provide for tuition, books, meals, housing, etc...I would imagine a decent percentage of players get the pell grant or some other type of loan. I'm sure there are exceptions where some of these kids literally are poor and don't have a dollar to their name outside of what is provided by the school, but by the same token I guarantee you there are kids that are walking around with more money than some adults.

This is correct...this article was from 2011 but it found 8 SEC schools had 423 scholarship FB players on Pell Grants with an average of $4,602 per player. Beef Dawg are you reading! This is above and beyond scholarship funds (room and board, tuition and books and also doesn't include
"emergency aid")

Question about how the players double dipped.

The AJC, reported that they mobile deposited check , then went and cashed them at convenience stores.

I thought part of the mobile depositing was that if the hard copy is cashed , then the Mobile deposit is debited back from your account.
