All home games other than ULL are "red outs"

quote:

Fans are encouraged to wear black to “Black Out” the UL Lafayette game on November 19. It remains to be seen if the Georgia Bulldogs football team will wear black jerseys.

quote:

"Whenever the black jerseys are worn, people will know well in advance of it,” McGarity said. “It’s not a gimmick; it won’t be a surprise. It will be up to Coach Smart to make that call, but it will be a home game.”

I see some Georgia fans are finally realizing who their head coach is....

HOnestly, i thought it would be Vandy. ANd that that would even be kind of a puss move. But ULL??????

Holy shite, man.

It's all recruiting imo. Recruits will come to the big games no matter what. Now maybe they'll come to the ULL game too.

A safe opponent neutralizes the voodoo. Critics need to STFU about them after this year.

Was about to say the same thing.

All year I've planned on skipping the ULL game because it's just not worth the expense and effort to make it. But if we are wearing black, I'll definitely go.

I don't care if we wore them against Kennesaw State, I just want to see them wear them

Maybe it's like LSU wearing purple in some of the non conf home games

We just get six a year. There's no place I'd rather be than in Athens on the fall Saturday afternoon, regardless of who we play.

Eh, why not. Gives you something to look forward to during one of the most boring college football weeks of the year. At least its back

Oh I agree with your mindset, no doubt. But believe me I've been to many, many, many games in my young-ish life so far, and at this point there are times (for games like ULL for instance) where I'd rather just save the money and not devote an entire day to travel when I can just relax and chill at home.

My 20 year old self would probably slap future self for saying that, but things change as you get older I suppose.

That's my thought as well. Gotta get a win in the black jerseys because of what happened in '08. Bama wasn't better than Georgia or anything, it was the jerseys. It sucks that people think that shite, but the stigma is out there.

No gain or loss, and I don't agree ... But I also don't think we should have sold out and did it for UT either. In a few years maybe the stigma will pass on from these black jerseys.

They aren't a big Richt secret anymore. It's been 8 years since Alabama. Time to move on. lol

I'd rather they just not do it at all than blackout ULL.

If people are worried about the stigma of black jerseys, this just adds to it. It says we're scared.
