Yes, the 2012 SEC Championship game WAS for the national championship and thanks to Richt and Bobo and their piss poor clock management skills, we let Alabama walk into another NC instead of us.

Have you seen Kirby's clock management skills? not so hot, my man. Not so hot, so far.

you're a certified moron if you think bobo or the offense period had anythign to do with losing that game. And the only reason anyone could even tangentially blame richt is for not overruling grantham's sub decisions.

That loss is on grantham and the DL, period.

Offense needed one more score and d needed one more stop. Both failed.

I don't recall the defense having the ball with 1:30 left on the clock and pissing all the time away.

this piss poor logic is the same as saying the offense lost the '13 AU game for us, simply because they had the ball last and didn't score to win the game. You realize that there were 58 minutes of the bama game that still counted too, right?

-Alabama was 5th nationally in YPG that year giving up 274 ypg, we put up 394.
-they gave up 210 passing ypg, we threw for 281.
-they led the nation in only giving up 64 rush ypg, we rushed for double that for 113 (sacks included).
-they were 7th nationally surrendering 15 ppg, we nearly doubled that and scored 28.

Basically, we did better (some cases much MUCH better) against their defense than all of their season averages. We were also up 21-10 with 6.5 minutes left in the 3rd. Are you insinuating the 22 points we gave up over the next 21 minutes of game clock is the offenses fault? And "pissing the time away"? Are you mental? We got the ball deep in our own territory with the entire field to go, 1 or 0 timeouts (can't recall exactly), against the nation's best defense and we shred them up like they were a D2 school.

We lost that game because the DL had absolutely zero depth and atrocious conditioning which allowed them to gash our line time and time and time again late in the game and there was nothign we could do to stop it.

The entire program is a laughing stock. We fired one of the most successful coaches in school history and hired some guy with no record, on the assumption that he can recruit his way to greatness.

Note to Georgia; the head coach needs to know how to coach first and foremost. Good recruiting will follow a good coaching hire, not the other way around.

Dear God please make it stop. Or turn dudes like this into TN or AU fans so they can be with their fellow idiots.

True. If the receiver had knocked the ball down instead of catching it we would have another play. But, he instinctively caught the pass. And, in fairness, Richt should have clocked the ball instead of trying to run a quick play. I understand why he did it, and at the time I had no problem with the decision. We can all make the right decision after we know the results.

You are wrong. Georgia beat plenty of ranked teams between 2011-2015.

Just off the top of my head:

Georgia beat Florida and Nebraska in 2012.

Beat South Carolina and LSU in 2013.

Beat Clemson and Auburn in 2014.

6 > zero

"bullshite, teams with Freshman QBs, youth everywhere on the field, and mediocre line play don't win every game you delusional little man."

Didn't Ohio State win a NC a couple of years ago?

He made the right decision. An All American made a great play for them.

That was my opinion, too. However, knowing what we know I wish he had clocked the ball. At the time, it was the right decision. Looking back on how it turned out, I wish we had clocked the ball. Hindsight is always 20/20. That's what i meant. There will always be people that will be critical about his decision.....but they have the luxury of knowing how it turned out. had he clocked the ball and given Alabama the time to get the correct personnel in and they stopped our play, the same people would have criticized him for that decision.

No. A lot of people believe this. Only people have an irrational hatred of Richt can't admit this. There are plenty of people that fit the bill.

Not sure if y'all are talking about ranked at the time the game was played or ranked at the end of the season. There are pluses and minuses to doing it either way.

If you are talking about being ranked at the time of the game...then we beat GT #23 and Auburn #20. Did not beat any teams that were ranked in 2015.

In addition...Missouri was ranked #23 when we beat them, and Louisville was #23 when we beat them.

We ended up beating 4 outta 5 ranked teams in 2014 (Final AP ranking)
We also beat them by an average of 27 points.Something no other UGA
team has ever done.
