Our rep as overrated chokers is well deserved. I believe we are now 2-8 as the higher ranked team in a top 15 matchups under cmr.

We didn't choke dumbass. We got beat

We got destroyed as favorites at home in front of The whole nation just like 2008.

But it is. Look no further than our secondary.
Talent isn't the issue. I'm not talking about just this year with Richt. We have had a lot of talent leave UGA and go on to the NFL. I think only Bama and LSU have more guys than us and they don't led us by much. So again talent isn't the issue with UGA.

The issue w/ our 2ndary is correct, but that is more of letting the cupboard go empty rather than keeping it stocked. Richt can't ever line up the recruiting where we have a somewhat complete team. We usually have to break in a bunch of guys on the Oline or Defense, or somehow not recruiting the qbs to take over for Murray.

Talent is the issue and if you can't see it, you're blind. Go back and look at those Bama and LSU teams and look how much of their talent was on the LOS. That's where the huge talent differential has been.

ETA: should've said talent is a big issue but not the sole issue. Talent obviously comes back to coaching, as other problems do too. But to say a talent difference hasn't been an issue for us when it comes to competing with teams like Bama is completely untrue.

That's what I was thinking, too. Winning in the trenches is where it's at. If we keep getting blown off the ball (on either side of the line), it makes it that much harder to get the skill positions in a place to make plays for us. Control the LOS and you control the game.

Each Uga team has a talent weakness' at some position. If it's not one position, it's another, and when that gets fixed, another hole shows up at a former position of strength.

Wouldn't that tend to imply that our "great recruiter" isn't that great at recruiting? At least not on a by-need basis, at any rate.

Yes, we have been poor at recruiting OL and WR's at the very least.
