Were not, not as long as CMR is there. He seems to recruit 3 years one way (offense) then 3 years the other way (defense) so you always have one old, one new. I dont think CTG is the answer either.
Time for changes it could get worse but it could get alot better. You never know till you make that change.

I'm not bashing Bobo, but I couldn't figure out why we kept trying to run the ball up the middle when the o-line was getting pushed off of the los.

As far as Grantham goes I thought the D played alright for what they had to deal with, but I'm beginning to think he doesn't know how to stop the run.

I don't dislike AM. It just gets to me the disneys want to retire his number and claim him the best qb ever when the fact is in big games he hasn't won shite. Just sayin

Damn Good Dawg, I agree, I fell for Richt's teams preseason hype in 04 and 08. Both years were we did not live up to potential. I feel your pain.

No one wants his jersey retired now, dipshit. 99% say if he wins a Heisman and has us win the natty then we would consider it and probably do it. But keep peddling that line if it makes you feel better.

No our defense did not do the job, so lets get that out of the way. But can you really seriously say that our offense did enough to win this game. An offense with 10 returning starters that went 6 possessions with -9 yds, teams with this much experience should never go 6 straight possessions without a first down. Now lets look at the Defense, a team with essentially 3 players returning with any experience at all. A team with Connor Norman playing safety and you don't seriously think that holding Clemson to 38 points is fairly decent. Jmo

No I do not think holding Clemson to 38 points is decent.

35 points should be enough to win a game. Todd Gurley ran for for a career high of 150 yards. AM completed 69% of his passes. While there were certainly some shitty offensive plays, there were also a lot of good ones...5 touch downs worth of good ones. The defense looked lost pretty much the whole time. Just like last year and the year before that.

I feel like I'm in bizarro world.

I'm halfway through the 1st quarter and Murray hasn't hit one receiver in the #s yet. He would already have an additional 50 yds if he wasn't throwing at the receivers knees.

Ive never been a Murray basher and the game wasn't lost by him, but his accuracy was definitely off on Saturday.

The defense looked lost in 2011? Weren't they a top 10 D that year? I was under the assumption that everyone expected our defense to give up 35+ to Clemson. We definitely won't win big games playing that kind of D, but to expect them to hold Clemson to anything less might have been a little unrealistic.

They sure looked lost against the good teams that year.

We should never expect to give up 5 touch downs to anyone. If that's a reasonable expectation then we've got problems. I doubt Bama expects to spot 5 TDs to any of their opponents. Just my $.02.

Agree. And my guess is if we had had our defense from last season, we would have won the game by a couple of TD's. You just don't lose that many NFL caliber starters without some drop-off.

Richt needs to learn to reload like Saban does instead of constantly rebuilding. People can say what they want about our talent and underachievement but the truth is the #12 ranked recruiting class in 2010 and 2012 doesn't cut it when your rivals consistently have top 5 classes. Regardless, we always seem to be depleted in some aspect of the team whether be the secondary, OL, whatever. One things for sure, we won't be winning any NC's with our current OL. We are obviously lacking talent there and it should come as no surprise considering our ongoing misses in top talent in the trenches. Meanwhile, Alabama has a road grading crew every season.

I feel ya. I'm not defending Grantham. Our defense was just green and going against a high octane offense. If it makes you feel any better though I personally think Grantham is gone after this year anyways.

I agree man. The thing is though if Richt hasn't figured out the o-line after 12 years maybe he never will. I don't know, but this always seems to be one of our biggest weaknesses.
