Oh bitch bitch
If we get that onside kick Murray would lead his team to a win

If Murray could throw a god damn screen we wouldn't need an onside kick. What happened happened and if ya wanna keep thinking he's god that's your prerogative but I got my nega-pants on for good yet again.

Haha everyone needs the tin foil hat. But yea man, I was kinda wanting to be Disney.
Fun fact, I have evidence of texting a buddy Thursday the exact text " I got 38-35 Clemson." So now my visions are coming in clearer

If we didn't botch a field goal it would be tied
If the refs reviewed that nibbled catch we may have won
You can't be on the verge of breaking every SEC passing record and be a shitty QBL

I disagree, venables wouldn't have such a soft prevent going if it was 31-35 UGA. It's a different ball game then and CU was more about holding on. And I think truly we lost when richt elected to punt on their 40.
See, I used to think that was the case too
ETA: fwiw, I'm not one of the throw Hutson guys in. Just more about disparaging the current guy who has some reason been exalted and heralded. I'd rather have stafford, he may not have cared but he could throw screens and not act as a human pez dispenser in an affliction shirt

The thought of this is horrifying. You know Richt wants to make an example of him, but at what cost? Atlanta?

I thought it was just one game

We may not have physical titles but we are gonna go ham on some moral victories

I thought the pot rule was 2 games, but others are saying JHC is back next week.
I sure hope so.

Murray is great against lesser competition. When he has time to throw he's about as good as any QB in the nation. The problem is he doesn't perform well under pressure against the better teams in part due to his height and limited athletic ability. Manziel is about the same size as Murray but excels under pressure due to superior athletic ability. Moral of the story: if you want to win championships and you settle on a shorter QB, he better have excellent athletic ability, otherwise, get a tall pocket passer to run your pro-style offense.

Clemson had 10 guys in the box and we ran it right into the teeth of the defense, which they were anticipating; no attempts to try and get it outside the tackles.
THAT would be my biggest complaint about last nights game. I don't remember us EVER trying to run outside the tackles. We had some success running inside, but should have gone outside more often. we DID run AT the tackle a couple of times...one on the 75 yard Gurley run. I don't remember going outside, though.

Man...I gotta ask. What kind of stats would you have wanted from Murray last night? I mean...323 passing yards and one rushing TD. I'm curious. What would he need to do to get a thumbs up from you?

I agree with those who say the offense lost this game rather than the defense. Doesn't matter that we scored 35. We knew going in that our defense was a question mark...and how could that not be expected when your start two true freshmen, playing in their first college games, in the secondary? And add to that new guys at many of the other positions, either as the starters or playing significant minutes? A defense with so many inexperienced players is going to take a few games to get it together. Yet all in all, against a very good Clemson offense, they did fairly well.
The offense, on the other hand, underperformed. I mean Bobo, the offensive line, and Murray. Crappy play selection on several occasions; poor pass protection; mediocre run blocking, only looked halfway decent because Gurley and Marshall are great backs; Murray not being to elevate his game when under pressure. Offense should have been doing a lot more to keep Clemson off balance, sustain drives, and put up 40+ points while keeping their offense off the field more. The offense, which was much ballyhooded, basically turned out to have a lot of issues...

“Here’s what I’ll say on that: Josh Harvey-Clemons is going to miss the first game of the season,” he said. “That’s all I’m going to say.”
Asked if a one-game suspension is automatic in this case: “I’m just going to say he’s got a one-game suspension.”

See Boyd's stats: 18/30 270 yards, 5 TDs, 3 passing and 2 rushing, no INT's.
Having said that, the offense played well enough to win most games with 35 points. As usual, defense is our main limiting factor.

It's more than stats. Its this defense that gets me. Yea, Murray has the stats but so did Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan. What I want? I want Murray to be able to throw the screen. I want him to snap the ball in the hurry up before the clock hits 0:00. I want him to hit receivers IN STRIDE so they aren't constantly stopping momentum to catch his wounded ducks. I'd like Murray to see the field and hit open WRs and not lock on to the short routes. I want him to recognize zone blitzes and 275lb DEs in coverage.
Cliff notes: Murray lacks the intangibles.
Think about it, how many times in the final minutes have you seen QBs and you just knew they'd get their team close, they'd give it's all? Now, be honest, how many times has UGA had the ball and HAD to score or keep momentum and Murray cracks? How many passes hit at Conley's feet or flutter over Bennets head? How many DBs helmets have been pelted with balls?
Murray has everything necessary to be elite and that's why it's frustrating. He's a 5th year senior, the mistakes he made should be well below him. Even Tajh fricked up a few times but that kid showed what it is to be a leader and how to preform under pressure. All we get is this

"Championship caliber teams don't surrender 500 + to anyone. 35 points is more than enough to win a ball game"
This. 35 is more than enough. But you would rather bash bobo and the O than the almighty TG And that high school D. We can't seem to get the depth we need to supplement when we lose players to injury draft or just plain stupidity
Bad part when this D is veteran the O will be new. When we gonna get a break
