The win at Notre Dame was great but I consider this Kirby's first

Big test, the team has had a full year and a half in all the systems and the conditioning programs.

Will say you can see the results of the s&c program, we just look bigger, faster, stronger.

Notre Dame was a signature win because we went up there and fought diversity and won in an early season matchup.

But this would be an Sec signature win and early signs pointing to Kirby's future being a huge success.

Notre Dame will likely end up 9-3. It's an underrated win right now because they were 4-8 last year.

MSU beat a bad LSU team at home. They will end up with 7 or 8 wins. We should win this home night game handedly.

Ehhh I think Auburn last year was pretty big. They were 7-2 and ranked #9 in the country and our defense absolutely showed up, we completely shut them down.

I guess people know that auburn wasn't that good last year despite their ranking and record, but I mean MSU probably won't make a ton of national noise this year either.

Talk to me after the game. Everyone is inflating MSU because they beat the worst LSU team in recent memory.

I hope you are right...but you are making this out to be an easy victory.

Agree. I love that they're ranked top 20 because it makes us look better if we win, but man they are getting propped up BIG time over a win over a pretty lousy LSU squad. I wouldn't be surprised to see MSU lose 3-4 games this year.

MSU is never ever anyone's signature win.

I know that post wasn't directed to me, but I don't think anyone thinks it'll be "easy". I think the main theme from our side is just that MSU isn't near the world beaters they're being made out to be, simply on the strength of a big home night game win over a pretty mediocre LSU team.

I mean, at the moment LSU looks to be no better than Kentucky and I doubt MSU would be getting this much praise if that was their opponent last week.

LSU's big win over BYU looks pretty average when you look at BYU's performance this season.

State might be good, but I think they still have glaring weaknesses we can take advantage of.

MSU fans love to point that shite out but fail to remember they were 5-7 last year.

No win is "easy" but I still think we win this convincingly.

Beating a ranked Notre Dame team in South Bend at the house Rockne built is a great win, regardless of their record last year.

We don't know that, though. LSU MIGHT have a very good team and have a very good year. I understand they looked bad in that game. But so did we against South Carolina in 2012. We looked horrid. Sometimes, good teams have very, very bad games.
