But for eveything that I know of, us and Florida are on even ground. What facilities do they have that we don't? How much more support staff do they have than us? How much bigger is their S&C staff? How much more do they spend on recruiting than us?

I specifically didn't include Florida because McGarity sees them as the model for why UGA's program doesn't need all the other stuff. IMO, there are several problems with this.

1) Foley has credibility that McGarity doesn't.
2) Florida is struggling right now too.
3) Georgia is more competitive with AU, Bama, UT, Clemson in in-state recruiting.

This I will agree with but Richt is on board with this policy.

Publicly. I doubt he'd argue if they changed it.

The recruiting budget argument doesn't hold weight, considering 90% of our roster lives within 3 hrs of Athens.

It holds weight because our roster isn't good enough right now.

The time to fire Richt was 3 or 4 years ago. Either after the loss to UCF in the bowl game or the next year where we went 10-4, and lost to every decent team we played.

McGarity let him hire a new defensive coordinator, so we are basically vested another 2 or 3 years now.

Personally, if we wanted to win a National Title, the change should have been made years ago. I wouldn't fire him until Pruitt either succeeds or fails.

Again, these losses to inferior opponents are completely unacceptable, and to me it seems Richt has more important things in his life than football. Just my opinion.

Also, if we were in the west, or if TN and FL had not been down for several years now, I feel like Richt would already be gone.

There are certainly more important things in life than football and winning, but sadly none of those things are what they pay CMR $10K+ A DAY to do.
