No way, dude. '12 SECCG stung like a motherfricker. My wife still can't talk about it without getting pissed.

When you find a woman like that, you don't ever, ever let her go.

Most painful loss I've ever experienced as a sports fan.

not sure on the science behind this but im 100% positive i was drunk as shite when the pass was thrown and sober as a bird less than 10 seconds later.

I'm not a person who gets worked up easily and I definitely don't let my emotions get the better of me, but damn did that loss hurt. So close to the end with so much hope and it all got dashed to pieces in the blink of an eye.

It's strange how much it still affects me.

Senior year of college...12 rows up in that endzone. Thoughts of a Miami road trip for the ages.

And to have it all so close, in spite of Deeprig's wet dream refusing to sub out guys on the DL, giving up 350 on the ground... Tree's blocked punt return for a TD was for naught. I hope that fat frick Grantham's heart explodes on the sidelines.

I couldn't eat for about two days afterwards. Which is kind of pathetic i guess, but whatever.

fun fact, before the season, me and my brother each bought 2 futures for uga in the national championship game for $40 each. basically, if georgia makes it, we got face value tickets for the game.

it was a pretty decent market that fluctuated a lot throughout the season. before the SECC, georgia futures were being bought for somewhere around $200 each. we held onto ours instead of selling and were planning on essentially funding the trip from selling the extra 2 tickets, which was definitely going to happen since notre dame was involved (and us).

tl;dr i was gonna go to miami all expenses paid and have the greatest trip ever and instead lost $80.

At least Georgia fans could leave the dome in 2012 with pride and their heads held high.

That was not the case when Georgia lost to Florida 52-14 or 48-10.

It was one of the greatest games ever played in the history of college football.

People that are able to put their emotions aside (aka "men") should be able to recognize that instead of crying when it is brought up like they have in this thread so embarrassingly.

In all 3 of those examples, the coaching staff failed the players.

I think what JD is trying to say is that the ultimate condition of the universe is equilibrium. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It's all controlled by multi verses, worm holes, black holes, strings, and dark matter, etc. Or God, if you will. Kirby is but a bit player in all of this, and to ad irony to the play, he coached the opposition in one of the most painful losses in SEC history for any fan base. So Kirby is predestined to right the wrongs that the universe has committed upon the Dawg Nation. Better days are ahead, my brothers. Much, much better days.

Our coaching didn't fail the players in the 12 seccg, unless you want to go big picture and say the coaches didn't provide us with enough depth on the DL.

That's exactly why I lump the '12 SECCG in with those two Florida blowout losses as coaching failures. You don't give up 348 yards on the ground, and you don't give up enough points to need that touchdown from the 5 in the final moments of the game. Grantham's stubbornness to substitute in DL players who were in his personal doghouse to keep them fresh to play a full 60 mins of game is why we lost.

It was a great game. I've always wanted to watch it again but just can't muster enough feels to do it. If we had won, it would be a game I would have on repeat on at least one TV in my house all day every day.
