WTF is wrong with you? There's no need to drag that demon back to the surface...

Most painful loss I've ever experienced as a sports fan.

It's just kind of spooky to me that it worked out this way. That the Kirby Smart era will begin on the same field where the highwater mark was reached.....five yards short......under Richt.

I get where you're coming from, but that's some baaaad juju to dredge up on a game week, especially the maiden voyage of a new coach.

It might be a cool look back, if you did that the morning after winning Kirby's first CFP. Anything before that is in poor taste and too soon.

Try to think bigger picture, if you can.

Cliff Notes for mongotards:
-Our last coach couldn’t get us to the next level
-The closest he got was five yards short of the national championship in 2012
-Kirby Smart was hired to take us to that next level.
-So it’s fitting that the Smart era start on that same ground where Richt peaked and came up short.
-It’s symbolic.
-Possibly even a sign.

Imagine (if your brain is capable of such a thing) that you are watching a documentary 20 years from now about the Kirby Smart era....

It starts off talking about how he took over a program that was consistently good but could never break through. They show the 5 yards short play, and then the narrator of the documentary talks about how Smart's run of 7 national championships in 15 years began on that same field where Georgia had come so close. While slow motion footage of Eason throwing dimes against UNC in the dome and Chubb running his first carry 76 yards for a touchdown. Then you get choked up reminiscing about it. Forgetting all the while that someone pointed this symmetry out to you when was abotu to happen 20 years ago and that you shite in your hand and threw it at the person that pointed it out like braindead grumped out mongofools. You have a bizarre fixation with chromosomal disorders, these days. You're usually more clever than that.

Yes, someone gets to take the credit for being the first one to make the connection, but there's a severe cart-horse inversion, going on until we get some hardware to back it up.

Besides, Florida was co-champ that year. Just ask them.

I’ve cliff noted it already, but I’ll try again. Even though it won‘t work:
-A new chapter in UGA football is beginning.
-This chapter magically begins where the hopes and dreams of the last one were crushed.
-I mean, this is epic story telling here by the football Gods or the universe or whoever is writing it..

So, in short, this is a thread about REDEMPTION. And if you can’t see that then you’ve just tested positive for mongotardism. Consult a physician.

I think most of the spankings Meyer and Spurrier meted out to Georgia while they coached Florida hurt worse because they were just so embarrassing.
