meh, the AP hasn't really mattered since '97.

Wow. I would have thought we would be ranked ahead of Northwestern and Western Kentucky.

I thought we probably shouldn't be ranked either, but then I look at Northwestern and WKU, and think it's absurd we're ranked behind them.

I am not confident that our current team could beat either of those teams.

It was almost as if they penalized us for our schedule and then gave a pass to NW and WKU. I mean, at least our losses came against legitimate competition, and we played Tennessee very tight.

Did we beat anybody with a winning record? I don't think we deserved to be ranked.

Tennessee absolutely smoked Northwestern. And we beat Penn State worse than NW.
And who did WKU beat that tells you they are better than us? We played (IMO) better competition than WKU, and lost to better teams. MUCH better teams. (At least according to their own rankings)

Northwestern beat 3 ranked teams, including top 5 Stanford. That's why they're ahead of us.
