I'm rooting for him too. I was responding to the post about Rashada beating out Gunner in 2025, but I expect Puglisi will be in the mix.

I think Gunner will win the job in 2025. It will be his 4th year in the system and he’s Bobo’s guy. He has been for a long time, even before Bobo was OC and at other schools. Now, the next year Puglisi and Rashada will be the competition in 26.

Bobo isn't handing anything to gunner.
It will be won on the field.

I'd be happy for him if he achieves the starting role and leads us into the NCG. But Bobo is at UGA and we aren't doing family favorites. It is purely about who gives us the best chance to win.

I agree but the fact he’s been in the system 4 years, or will have been. Gunner has always had a high ceiling. For some reason, there’s always been negativity about him here. Weird.

At sometime over the next few years I would like to see UGA win a natty with an athletic black QB.

Sounds like a racist statement. I don't care if he or she is black, white, purple, or green. Just win!

I'd take Tom Brady in a skirt if he/she/they/them win 2 NCs back to back.

Not always.

His redshirt freshman year was with a ton of buzz. Similar to Stet, he created and made plays against the 1st team defense on scout.

The rub is with picking up the Monken offense. It is about high level execution. He lost his advantage there. He's still working to grasp and execute it.

No matter how many times we see it, people still discount the value of experience (time, not just starts) in a college quarterback. The more complicated the system, usually pro-style offenses, the more valuable the time in the system becomes. Pro-style college quarterbacks who thoroughly understand their offense can consistently do what we've seen Beck and Bennett and Murray do, even if some of them don't have perfect NFL physical traits. They can out think college defenses and make their heads spin.

You give Bobo a series of quarterbacks willing to pay their dues before starting, and a good offensive line, and he'll help Kirby win more championships.
