If you feel betrayed by Richt then you got some problems.
The quicker he gets the frick out and Kirby gets the frick in the better.
Time to move on. Or go by some Miami swag.

K9 grew up with Richt the way most of us grew up with Dooley. Although Dooley teased leaving us, he never did.
I can imagine how I would have felt at one time upon seeing Dooley in another schools colors.

I was of the mindset that after this long he should get a couple of years now that it appeared the AD opened the purse strings. But that didn't happen.
But damn...all of this "poor Mark Richt" talk and him using his press conference as a Monster.com ad is a bit much.
I hope all these people see that CMR is all about "I'll show them" at this point.

They don't...MR is a God to them. They are blinded by the light...Saul, waiting to become Paul....

This is what was so fricking frustrating for years. The blind loyalty. Not even 6-7 shook their foundations...

I was beside myself. I really thought it was a done deal & that Vince was going home.
Turns out, it WOULD HAVE BEEN the best thing to ever happen to us.
imagine Erk building a legacy at UGA instead of GA Southern...

betrayed was probably the wrong word choice there. But I do find it surprising that he would go back on his word like that. Again, if all things being reported are true which, in this day and age, is a big if.

this has some merit. I'm an emotional wreck rn. HRD, send leghumper's or CHD's momma (whichever one youre not busy with) to come cuddle me and tell me everything is gonna be all right.

UGA fired Richt. He got another opportunity at Miami and they want him on board just as we want Smart on board.
The Richt decision is easy, UGA can handle the lessor tier bowl anyway they want. Hell, it doesn't really matter. The risk for UGA is they could be without a HC, OC and DC or even more depending on who Richt goes after.
Smart is much more complicated with the SECCG and possibly the natty, especially if the reports are true about some of the Bama staff that may come with him to UGA. It is not uncommon to have departing coaches split time between recruiting for the new school while still preparing the old school for their upcoming games. Since he is departing for a SEC school, it makes it even more difficult. If it were VA for example, Saban wouldn't give a shite.
But he has to get to work on the recruiting class ASAP.

Well when HRD put it in perspective for me with Dooley I can understand a little better where you younger bucks are coming from.

Ah, man. That's the first time I watched that since the night of the game. Can't believe that was three years ago.

The red helmets with the black G will be the same. The hedges will be the same.
As long as we don't wear those godawful Nike uniforms we'll be okay.
I was at UGA during the Goff years...so I'm familiar with rejection.

I've never been more excited while watching a Georgia game than I was watching that play. As far as I remember the game ended right there, right?

Zach Klein from WSB just tweeted this out:
Lets let Ekeler coach the game somebody might actually die

I wonder if it would come down to us not accepting a bowl because of not enough staff to coach the team. If Richt goes, Pruitt goes, and Smart stays with Bama through January I mean we are pretty much left with nothing.

Shirley, you jest.
Even with your worst case scenario we can field a staff.

There have been teams with less than a full staff at bowl games. I'm sure nobody is busting Schotty's door down

Because same philospogy as Richt: The Lord is in charge. If the squib kick failed, it was what the Lord wanted. If we went 6-7, it was God testing our faith.
Personally, I think Richt had a great way to always let himself off the hook...while continuing to collect $4M a year...
