I can't really say what I'd think would make it a truly "successful" season, but we HAVE to win the east. Regardless of whatever else happens, it will not be successful at all if we aren't in atlanta.

After that...I guess it depends on what happens.

If we don't win the East, the season is a failure in my opinion.

Unless it's injuries. If we are starting walkons in several key positions for a few games, and only miss the East Title because of losing a tiebreaker, then I won't be pissed.

Disappointed, but not angry.

OK, now I'm going to read what everyone else said. I'm responding directly to OP at this point.

If Mark Richt doesn't win the East, he's fired.

WG I had an email written out and then got your second. All good bro. Also Dallas. No way he's fired before the Eason saga

Soooo, if Richt doesn't win the east this year (which you all say is a must), would you want him to be fired? No chance the admin would do that for finishing second, but wou you all want it to happen?

If not, then winning the East isn't a "must"......

Question is what do we have to do to maintain, justify and build on this momentum we have. In that regard I think we have to win the East and prob the conference, IMO. Not about what gets Richt fired. He's not getting canned if he doesn't win the East.

Exactly. So who gives a frick then. Honestly, we haven't won the East since '12 and the SEC since 2005....hasn't exactly hurt our recruiting or additional money to the program.....

Basically, what you all mean, is you WANT to win the east this year....but if we don't, you won't change anything (don't want Richt fired, still donate, buy season tickets, watch the games, etc etc).

I hope we win the East and got to at least a BiG6 game, but if we don't win the East and win 10 games, it's not a disappointment......

frick, we could wax Mizzou 65-0 this time and lose to Bama and Auburn and that would force us out of the East (assuming Mizzou won out). Not far-fetched when you look at the schedules......

1. Stay Healthy

2. Establish a legitimate threat with our passing game

3. Get tougher/bigger up the middle

4 Avoid the one game we inexplicably lose for no reason

5. Malcolm Mitchell playing his first injury free season

Being Healthy would be a nice change.

Top 20 vs Run Top 10 vs Pass in the nation

top 5 Rush in the nation

Win the East
Win the SEC

Everything after is gravy

Quite honestly, I would be happy beating Tech, AU, and UF. The rest will work itself out. 11-2 would be a great accomplishment leading into the Eason era.

as an outsider (I'm an LSU fan) I would think your fanbase should expect the same as us every year. SECG or bust, and not losing to big rivalries.

I know that my expectations are probably too high, but if we don't beat Bama and don't play in Atlanta, the season was not a success. And I have these expectations every year, with no excuses or exceptions.

Did you expect us to finish in the top last year?

we lost 3/4 of our secondary and TGIII for half the season...yet we had a top 10 finish and beat 4 top 25 teams.

There was disappointing parts to the season but as a whole it was not a disappointment.

With the improvements we all expect on our defense, money spent on staff and running game we all expect to have I honestly think it'll be a failure if we're not in Atlanta playing for the SEC. If anything, CMR is exceptional at working with QB's so I think we should have a serviceable passing game.

If we don't make it...nobody should be fired...but that is a reasonable goal minus any significant injuries. I really think we're going to surprisingly good this year.

Setting the table for the 2016 natty...
