The player - if a guy sucks bad enough, the best coach in the world won't help much. But yeah, if a guy can be improved, that is, at least in part, on the coach.

I just find it hard to believe that anyone can be that negative about a team they are a fan of. Especially saying our best player is only good when he's breaking records.

Can you stop acting like you are an actual UGA fan? I just read the last three pages of your posts and you don't say one good thing about the Dawgs. In fact you said Chubb isn't a great back, he's only good. Gtfo already.

I am done being an actual Georgia fan. Actual Georgia fans are delusional and will argue that a defense looked pretty good in a 28 point blow out. I am now a non-typical Georgia fan...one who accepts reality. It tool me 42 years to get here...I have been as delusional as the best of y'all at times during that period...but no more. I accept the program for what it is....much better than average but nowhere near elite.

And Chubb isn't a great back...I stand by that. He is very good but he is not great. He is as good as we have had in a long time...although Gurley was better when he wasn't suspended...and that skews our perception. He won't win the Heisman which would indicate greatness...great is a pretty strong word...using it as often as we do dilutes its meaning substantially....

Good recruiting doesn't suffer a two year hiatus on the most important position on the field...and if it does then someone screwed the pooch...and this is not the first time it has happened in the last 14 years...we have had better quarterbacks during the Richt era than we have ever had in our programs history...it ain't even close...but when we do not have a QB capable of doing the things that Greene and Shockley and Stafford and Murray were able to do we don't have an answer....

Maybe, but Chubb has produced much much more than Gurley did in the same time frame.

Yes it does. shite happens sometimes. We recruited guys that everyone else wanted too. It's not like we took chances on 2* hoping they'd turn in to the next Manziel.

You know an awful lot of shite seems to happen to the UGA football program.....sometimes you can make contingency plans for when shite happens...or you can adjust your current plan when you don't have the tools you need...or you can just say shite happens and get on with life....I usually take the last route, but then again I am not elite, merely serviceable...

Chubbs stats in his 13 starts are great. Choosing to claim otherwise dilutes the achievement of 13 straight 100 yard games. Heisman isn't required for greatness either.

2 - 3 beating the likes of Savannah State at home and Texas-San Antonio by 2 with Boise State coming to town.

so he's already halfway to toaling mcelwain's first year totals..cool.

You also left out that 2 of his 3 losses have been in overtime (in his 2nd and 3rd games ever as a head coach).

Alsbolutely blows my mind how childish some people are towards a guy that ISN'T EVEN HERE ANYMORE, came here out of HS, gave his all for us at QB in some LEAN years when we sucked, and then coached here for 14 years and set numerous records as a playcaller. That guy has done more for UGA than any of us could ever dream of doing, and people still want to rail on him because he had the misfortune of having willie and grantham as a DC for 9 years.

Unbelievable.

I can't even wrap my head around it. He gets the most unwarranted hate of any coach.

He did deserve it the first few years but once he started clicking he was machine like and fun to watch.

Hell I wouldn't even say that, from end of 06 (when he started) through about 08ish his playcalling was just fine.

He only sucked when (hey what a surprise) he didnt' have a good RB. Having samuel, thomas, ealey, king, etc as your starters isnt' really conducive to putting up great numbers. All of a sudden once he had servicable running backs again in 2011 whaddaya know, starts shattering records.

Our o had some serious clunkers in bobo's tenure. Our o wasn't record breaking until the final 3 years when play calling did improve, and even then, it wasn't good enough to win any championships.

I never railed one damn bit about his playcalling and oc stats. I did ask if he is to blame for our current lack of QB as he WAS the QB coach and he had Bauta, Ramsey and Park under his coaching and all three evidently are busts. So, why the hell isn't he partially to blame. He helped choose who to recruit and coached them. 2 out of the 3 options (recruiting, coaching, performance) he had input on. Yes, the players are to blame themselves also. I can see 1 bust but all three. What the hell?

What a dolt.

CST had 1 winning season in 9 prior to McElwain's arrival, the last 3 were all 3 - 9. Bobo came into a program that went 10 - 2 in McElwain's last year, his third. Think that is different?

I am not blaming the lack of QB development on Bobo (I lay that fully on the feet of Richt), but rather saying he has his heads full at CST and he does. That was perfectly clear in my post. With Boise coming to town, at the end of Saturday, that record is going to be 2 - 4, which is your mind is still half way to McElwain's first year record and you call it good. Rams' fans probably feel a bit different coming off a 10 - 2 regular season.

See how that works? Things are relative.

Yes and much much more.

He will be back as an OC at some mid level program in three years. Book it.

WG and gatorhata will defend Bobo to the ends of the earth. It's odd really.

Do you have this saved so you can cut paste it.....or do you actually type it out each and every time?
