can someone give me a quick rundown (spoilers of course) of what happened? I watched halfway into S3 and just lost interest. I keep seeing how great this ep was though so I'd like to know what all went down.

Cersei was going to be tried by the Faith militant and decided to blow them all up instead. She killed off Margaery Tyrell, Loras Tyrell, Mace Tyrell, The High Sparrow, Grand Maester Pycelle, her Uncle Kevan Lannister, and essentially caused Tommen (her son) to commit suicide once he saw what had happened. Dani is finally sailing to Westeros with a massive army (+3 dragons she can now control) in the Iron Fleet stolen by Theon and Yasha Greyjoy. We found out Jon Snow is actually Jon Targaryen however only Bran knows this for now. Jon has been proclaimed the king in the north after his victory over Ramsay Bolton. Arya has turned into a master assassin and killed Walder Frey but only after she fed him pieces of his 3 sons in a pie.

That pretty much sums it up.

You guys missed the part about Tyrion hinted as being a Targaryen as well.

There's 3 dragons. Aemon Targaryen and Melisandre have each said Azor Ahai will be a 3-headed dragon.

Dany, Jon, and Tyrion will each ride a dragon against The Others when they destroy the wall and make their way south to Kings Landing.

Jon will some how find Lightbringer along the way and it will likely be used to kill the Undead King.

And there's something going on with Samwell and his family sword, Heartsbane. Not sure yet, but I have a hunch.

Was that hinted at in the show, or are you talking about a long held theory?

His interaction with the dragons hinted at it.

Watched it last night. Just a truly amazing episode of television.

Lady Mormont and the North Lords, Dany's fleet, and Lyanna all gave me chill bumps.

Next season is setting up to be even better imo. Can't wait

everything about this episode was perfect. and..

Love the meme going around that shows Lady Mormont with the words:
"if she was the one with three dragons, the show would've been over two seasons ago".

I just mean the spoilers aren't going to keep me from watching it. I still have no idea who's initials we're talking about though.

Robert + L???? = Jon?

SPOILERS FROM LAST EPISODE

It means Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark are the parents of Jon Snow which makes Jon a Targaryen and a potential dragon rider

Got it. I figured there had to be a Targaryen in there since it was mentioned that he was one previously in this thread.

Of course, neither of those characters have actually appeared in the show though, correct (other than a flashback as a child in Lyanna's case)? Or am I wrong about that. The show honestly goes in so many directions with these families, it's hard to keep track.
