Hard to imagine him and Harbaugh getting along though.

Agreed 100%. Would open up more southern recruiting for Harbaugh too (I wouldn't like that part). That defense would be nasty. Would be safe to predict some more chest pains over in Ohio in the next few years if that happened

Don't know if Pruitt would like those "furry" women after living in the south his whole life tho...

If he's not openly being recruited by AL and AU especially...he's got to have some serious issues.

Have to agree with this. Pruitt coached under Saban and now Saban needs a DC. Why in the world would he not want Pruitt?

Would be a good move by Harbaugh if they can get along.

I think Kirby would be smart to keep Pruitt. He's a good coach.

I think Pruitt wouldn't do so well at Michigan... the big, strong offenses give Pruitt fits. It's the spread he builds his defenses to stop. He could probably do well against OSU, though.

Just my .02.

At least he won't be recruiting against us very often.

I don't think he has been anywhere long enough to say that necessarily. He started to build up the DL pretty nicely in the last class and was working toward it this year too.

I could be wrong, but Pruitt has a kid in middle/high school in Hoover, AL. It was mentioned in the past that he wants to stay within driving distance for obvious reasons. With that said, I’d be surprised if he ended up anywhere outside the South. Can you imagine Harbaugh and Smart together, completely separate and crazy personalities? I’d prefer him in Ann Arbor over Auburn and Bama, but I think he finds a gig closer to home.

Hopefully it's just a negotiation move. Give the man a raise!!!!

Also, any chance of signing Mecole Hardman would be gone with Pruitt's departure.

So he says. Let's see who fills out the coaching staff, first. Some of these kids love making bold pronouncements and then end up dialing it back as situations change.

Obviously I rather he go to Michigan over anywhere close by but I am convinced it would be a mistake to let him walk. There's no one we will get who will be even let alone an upgrade
