Dead on. The 2013 and 2014 recruiting debacles are killing this team. Richt left this team in a toilet and everyone expects Kirby to turn it around. He needs time, and I'm willing to give it to him.

The full on sucking of Kirbys cock with blind abandon is unreal.

I thought this board was smarter than that.

Was wdhalgren upset when we fired Richt?

Not really upset because it doesn't affect me personally. But that doesn't mean I don't recognize mistakes on a scale that destroy programs. I though it was dumb to fire a very successful coach, especially if we didn't have a very good replacement waiting to take the job. That's why very few coaches who succeed like Richt have ever been fired without some sort of scandal. And I thought that Kirby Smart, who never was really a full defensive coordinator at Alabama, was very unlikely to reach Richt's level of success at UGA, much less achieve the pipe dreams of our unrealistic fan base. I still think that's the case. It makes me question UGA's leadership in the athletic department.

I also thought the people who criticized Richt for not winning more SECC, or a NC, didn't understand the challenges of coaching and recruiting at UGA, with tough admissions criteria, disciplinary policies, and intolerance of cheating to get recruits. I expect they're about to gain a new appreciation for Richt's level of success, or maybe they'lll continue to find reasons why Richt's 15 years were all a mirage. They may even decide that 7-8 win seasons are okay, as long as it's not Mark Richt leading the team.

Tell us about the greatness of 2006-15. Explain how we earned those elite rankings.

The line clearly sucks, as they did last year.

But you can't put all the blame on CMR.

There is no excuse for not going out and finding a kicker, there was time.

Since the upper class has probably blend, why aren't we playing the freshman. We are at skill positions, why not everywhere else, can't be any worse.

Isn't everyone back from a defensive backfield that was one of the best in the country?

3 veteran O lineman ? With 77 starts between them. Including a first team All SEC and 2nd team all SEC,

A couple of 5 Star D lineman/ OLbs?

Heisman hopeful RB with a group of RBs that is arguably one of the best in the country?

A 10 win veteran QB along with the top QB recruit in the country who was an EE and by all accounts ready to play?

Ya, this team had nothing for Kirbs .....

You got hit too many times Peter. So clueless about this roster:

Our db's were never good against good passers.

Our OL stunk last year and lost by far our best OL.

Lambert wasn't a productive qb.

Our front 7 is very young.

Our wr's can't catch and get open.

Pyke isn't an all sec tackle and kublunow is ok at best. He is always getting pushed into the backfield.

Pyke was no team last year and kub wasmt worthy of 2nd team on one of the teams. Must have been a sympathy vote.

NFL people say Pike will be a 5 th round pick.

There is plenty of talent out there. I'm certain we could afford to have more, but this team is not devoid. There are a lot of NFL players on this team.

The kicker is on Smart. He gambled and lost there.

I see people not running good routes on offense. I see them not catching balls. I see them not making plays on balls. That is coaching.

I see running backs stuffed in holes and I see lineman with hats on guys. That's scheme and play calling.

5th round at this point is essentially a coin flip and he is the only nfl type we have.

The kicker is on richt. He didn't have a good one on the roster or committed.

Lack of natural ball skills is a talent issue.

U see rbs hit in the backfield with an OL doing looking around or being pushed backwards.

How many yards did Chubb have last year before he tore his knee up? That was with the same o-line.

Now he cant get 100 against Nicholls.

Now, what has changed?

No, it wasn't the same OL. We lost both tackles.

Come on dude... You can most certainly coach kids to catch the football and run good routes. There is a litany of 4 star TEs and WRs out there. You can't tell me they are all busts.

If Kirbs wanted a kicker,,he offers one a scholarship. He thought he could go the walk on route. bullshite he couldn't get one to come. He thought he could steal a walk on.

The line issues are not all talent related. The scheme and play calling are not putting our players in position to be successful. I heard a lot about Pitman. Maybe we don't have the body type he likes, but a good coach should at very least have this line serviceable. And I think they are for the most part. There just always seems to be a lot more of them than us in thr gaps.

Also, Catalina started every game in College, we 1st team all conference and had offers from UF and Auburn. He was also team Captain. He was a good get by Smart and should not be used as a proof source for anything negative against Smart or Richt.
