Preaching to us?
Dwags
Ugag
Seems pretty condescending. I used to have friends that smiled to my face and called me buddy and then went and talked behind my back. I kicked them to the curb.

Sense of inferiority?
I've been around a lot of smart people in my life, and most of them didn't feel the need to constantly tell others about their superior intelligence. Tech fans, for some reason, are incessantly driven to convince themselves and others how smart they are, using every conceivable indicator from income to SAT scores to tales of their dwag underlings at work. Feeling of inferiority? I don't know, just a guess, but in my experience that mentality is an indicator of something other than intellect

Maybe. But when you are calling us UGAg and saying you are "preaching" to us? Sounds like you want other Tech fans to think we are all crowded around your feet just waiting for you to enlighten us.
I would think you would at least show a little common courtesy. I have been nothing bu courteous to the Tech fans. We give you guys a little ribbing and you guys give it right back. No problem with that. but when someone is calling us names when we are not around....just seems....wrong. I have several tech fans and really don't mind you very much. But it seems you should be a little more discreet in the future.

I just don't like it when people call me names behind my back. Do what you like to my face....but don't act like a friend then slice and dice behind my back. I'm not upset....maybe disappointed?

When do you think we'll find out the extent of Gurley's injuries?
Whats the time table on this type of thing usually?
I'm guessing TG will enter the NFL draft and slip to the 2nd or 3rd round b/c of injury concerns and then he'll miss preseason w/ rehab and then he will prolly be ready to play early but will have to wait patiently & breakout in 2016
i dunno

I admit, I enjoy toying with Tech fans on message boards. Not so much because of the rivalry, because it's not much of one, but because they've allowed their hatred for UGA to degrade their human decency. Their fan base ridicules an injured opponent (see Aaron Murray), or insults the name of a recently deceased personality (see Larry Munson). That's what I consider taking it too seriously.

I began posting with Rules on the first iteration of the Rant around 2001. I suspect that I'll be posting with him long after you are gone.
Solid guy, decent troll, and all around CFB fan.
All of this, and not a snitch.
Crazy, huh?

I lurked on the old DawgRant for many years. Never signed up even though the site manager (can't remember who it was) noticed my long distance address and urged me to join. It was sort of a clearinghouse for UGA/Mark Richt haters, with a sprinkling of support mixed in. I'm not surprised that there's a considerable holdover of that on this board, knew it was present when I signed up and that there would be attacks from the old guard when I disagreed. That's fine, it's all just meaningless talk, but I have no problem pointing out that historically this was not a Georgia first forum. In fact, I think it's quite distressing to some of the old ranters that some new posters actually support our team and coach through thick and thin.

He's been saying the same things to us for four weeks on this board. You didn't have to make your eyes bleed by reading the same comments on sting talk, and then post it here like it's new information.

Of course he has. Tech fans hate the fact that Mark Richt always has a faithful core of players who don't quit on him or the program. It was their fervent hope that Gurley would get his feelings hurt and quit. They started out with the "Georgia throws Gurley under the bus" meme. That progressed to "Gurley should think of himself and quit". They'd like nothing better than to paint Georgia as a program that exploits players and Georgia players as being nothing like the true Tech men on their team. It was win-win for Mr. Rules to echo that sentiment, all in Gurley's best interest, of course.
So when Todd got hurt, Mr. Rules had his moment of "I told you so". He deflected by saying "I hope he's okay", but there's no denying that there was element of (or the very least a strong appearance of) gloating over the fact that Gurley paid a price for not giving up on his team and coach. Now they've even started the "he shouldn't have been in the game" storyline. It's not news that in every circumstance tech fans will find a way to criticize UGA coaches, fans and players, but it's worth pointing out, especially when it comes from a DawgRant legacy with some faithful supporters on this board.
