More worrisome than the other viruses and bacteria out there already? Give me a fricking break. Already saying the death rate on this thing is going to be .01-.1%. If you get sick, treat it like the seasonal flu. Drink a shitload of water/electrolytes, rest and don’t go out. Simple shite. This thing is a Panicdemic is all

Far more worrisome.

I should load up the Jeep from the local Walmarts and make a bootleg run to Athens.

Stupid people have always gone to work sick and sent their kids to school or day care sick.

With 500k people many of whom are flying in to go to the 20 bars in this city, plus ships coming in from all parts of the world, I just can’t imagine Savannah not having some sort of outbreak soon.

I just love how a guy who’s apparently an IT expert also seems to be a doctor.

This is not just the flu and it’s dangerous to the elderly. Source: actual doctors.

I never claimed to be a doctor, but I can read. Even the CDC is telling people to stop panicking. Yes, the people that are dying are elderly with pre-existing conditions, but they are also the ones most susceptible to die from the seasonal flu too. Is this worse for them, potentially, we don’t have enough data yet to determine that. However, the CDC says the best thing you can do is drink fluids, rest, stay away from other people and it should go away in 7-9 days. They think this will end up being a .1% death ratio, so slightly higher than the flu. Keep in mind of all those they haven’t/didn’t test so far that are healthy people between 12-60.....the death rate is going to go way down as more healthy, 12-60s get it and test for it.

I wonder when shite will shutdown if we have a case. My work said it would do the telecommuter thing if there’s an infection at the plant. If they close schools I’ll have to be remote regardless.

All flu strains are dangerous to the elderly. Elderly folks usually have other medical problems and are more susceptible to the flu. The Washington state deaths were in a nursing home. In China the vast majority of the elderly poor smoke and have lung problems.

Not sure. Everything’s sensationalized right now, but we probably shouldn’t be having st pats day festivities honestly. I’d imagine if we had a case or two before Tuesday they might cancel it. Fine line between making money off tourism and killing off all our grandparents lol

Wow I had totally forgotten about that. Had to REALLY plant your hand on that thing to get it to scan properly too. Ugh.

Yea, was screwy. You had to figure the exact placement you used each time with that specific scanner, because it was different for each one on campus it felt like.

Also, wasn't there like a % number shown on how accurate you did it? I seem to remember "competing" with buddies in line to see who got the highest or lowest but still got in. Good times.

Link this. This isn't going away in 7-9 days. Its just beginning here in our nations, and its realistic potential is catastrophic.

State enforced quarantines are coming. They just implemented them in Italy, and we'll likely see it here.

National Guard deployment across the country is likely within the next couple of weeks, IMO.

You are out of your fricking mind. Time for you to get in your bunker, bud.

This shite has nothing on the mortality rate of previous coronaviruses. It will infect more, but death rate will be closer to the seasonal flu.

I was talking about people that contract it. Go read the CDC official statements. Either stop panicking or get in your bunker. You are helping nothing with this media hyping crap
