LINK

No. 1 overall pick from last years draft, Enciarte who hit .300 last season at 24 years old, and a top 60 pitching prospect. By far the best trade yet IMO. If you look back now, we essentially traded Simba and Shelby for the number one SS and SP prospects. Now we just have to wait.

Braves won that deal. Basically that is the return for Jason Heyward and its a heck of a haul considering that SHelby Miller is probably a true 3 or 4. He doesn't have front of the rotation stuff and doesn't dominate games.

Dansby Swanson is going to be really good.

What are you 9? Don't worry little guy, they're not going to this year, but he's gone after at the end of '16. Coppolella ain't paying Freddie 20 mil a year.

Lol. I didn't say we weren't going to trade him... Reading comprehension.. You know? Left to right and top to bottom? Post less. 27 is way too much.

It sucks to endure the shite show on the field right now but with trades like simba and especially the trade made yesterday the future looks bright. Glad we find got some offense in return!

It's not like Miller will get any run support this year anyway. Best trade the Barves have made in a long time

Braves front O is setting up for the future ala '90. Need a few vets to lead in the clubhouse but I like the nads.

Does anyone actually think that once these guys have trade or free agent value that we'll make any real effort to keep them? The Braves are pretty much the Yankee's Triple A farm team.

Yes they will. They have a new stadium to pay for and trading away your best talent wont fill the seats. We are building our farm system just like the Royals did. Look how that worked out for them in the long run

If you look at how we've handled players in the recentish past I have little faith that we will. We might have a couple of good years if some of these guys pan out but the Braves will never open the checkbook to keep players with star potential, simple as that.

no but we will start to see a payroll consistently north of $110MM (maybe $120MM is Liberty would sack up) which would be the most we've spent ever and should be plenty to keep some top talent

The Braves absolutely robbed Arizona for the second time. This team is going to be really good soon. They have taken Arizona's #1, #3 and #6 prospects in a top ranked group and their #1 overall draft pick. I will have to look again but the Braves have 9 of the top 100 prospects. The most of any team.

No shite. I live less than 2 miles away and it's probably ~10 minutes at most times during the day. The whole area is a cluster frick.
