Alex Van Halen on drums and Eddie Van Halen on guitar
OR
Duane Allman on guitar and Gregg Allman on vocals/piano/organ
OR
Is there another that beats them both?

Well, between those two, the Allmans far and away for me. Duane was unreal.
I'd put Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson are up there very close to them as Brian is my all time favorite artist
Jackson 5
Oasis brothers
Van Halens and AC/DC brothers
Everely Brothers
Been a whole lot of family talent, but the allmans have to be my favorites.

Tough to compete with Van Halen and The Allman Brothers but..
-The Wilson sisters from Heart are great
-The Avett Brothers are cool
-The Young brothers of AC/DC
-The Greenwood bros of Radiohead

The Allman Brothers are up there with the Beatles and the Eagles IMO.

Van Halen, by a mile. Southern rock is unlistenable.

I used to play drums in an Allman Brothers Tribute Band, actually got to play in the Ild Capricorn Studios in Macon. If anyone has never been to Macon, there is a weird vibe in that town,in a good way.If you like the Allman Brothers Band,go to Macon Period. Eat at H&H Restaurant,go in Rosehill Cemetery where Duane Allman and fellow band member Raymond Berry Oakley are both buried by each other. They got a lot of inspiration from hanging out there back in the day. They have also turned the big house, where they all used to live, into a museum now.......

I'm probably a bigger fan of Van Halen but the Allman brothers are in a different league musically.
I'd put ABB in with Zep, The Stones, The Beatles, etc.

ABB and it is not even close Van Halen is good, but not in the league of ABB.
I saw Van Halen twice. Not that I wanted to but they were on the undercard with the Stones.
The first time, their first album had just come out and they were hungry and played 45 minutes. That was alright, even pretty good.
The second time they were established and I would have paid money for them to stop playing.
ABB has always been great in concert. The Stones, well, are the Stones - 'nuff said.

Bachman's were pretty impressive. Probably not in the same category as Allmans and Van Halens....but two supergroups are pretty impressive. (The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive)
Whether you like their music or not the Bee Gees were pretty impressive considering the number of hits and longevity of the group. In the 60s they had a ton of hits, then kind of faded away, then came back in the 70s with a different falsetto sound. (None were all that impressive with an instrument, though.)
