The Braves also unloaded Bronson Arroyo and part of his salary to the Dodgers.. Paco Rod, the LH RP the braves aquited looks to be better than Avilan but Paco is hurt right now which is why the Dodgers wanted Avilan for their playoff run. Bird, the RH SP prospect throws 98 consistently. They also got another prospect stater in the Arroyo deal, Touki. I hated to see Jim Johnson go. Maybe someone will take Chris Johnson for a reliever with a pulse.

We got a ridiculous amount of young pitchers now. We're still missing a closer though, but maybe one of these kids will step up and become a viable closer for us.

That said, I wouldn't mind packaging Teheran with Chris Johnson just to unload his contract. Teheran has been so up and down since he's been here, I'm pretty tired of his inconsistency. Get rid of him while he has value and use it to unload CJ who's becoming a cancer.

I can handle going into next season with Miller, Wisler, Benuelos, and Perez, and then either rotating through all the young kids we recently re-stocked until we find a 5th starter, some middle RP's, a couple setup guys, and a closer. I'm sure those guys are in there somewhere. We've got over 30 pitchers in the evaluation loop right now.

Then at some point we have to bring in a big bat. A left or center fielder who can hit 30+ bombs and 100 rbi's. And then of course another catcher.

That's not a ton. Hart is workin his plan and it's shaping up.

Maybe Shae Simmons can make a comeback to be the closer or set up man for Grilli if he makes it back.
Vizcaino has some nasty stuff. Those three guys could (I pray) sure up the back of the bullpen.
