"Oh yeah...I forgot the boomers in their youth were the original liberal hippies."

A day in the typical boomer's life today starts at a RV Park in Tampa where they have their Social Security bought motorhome parked for the winter. They eat breakfast with a bunch of old frickers and wax nostalgic about the good old days when their peckers worked ON drugs and not BECAUSE of them....

No doubt by far the most narcissistic, pampered generation the US has ever produced. Motherfrickers got clean for Gene in 1968 and in 1980 elected Ronald Reagan...talk about bipolar disorder...an entire generation. What they did do though is produce Generation X who used the failings of their parents child rearing as an impetus to raise the best generation of young people since the WW2 generation....most people my age won't admit it but young folks today are much better people than their parents and the difference between them and their grandparents is staggering...boomers are just bad people....

A typical day in this boomer's life begins with leaving the hotel before they even have coffee made and going to an industrial plant to make machinery run.

Was on a 20 ft extension cleaning my gutter when the feet slipped back. I slipped off the rung and it peeled my shins raw from ankles to knees. Got inside to the phone as I went into shock and called my neighbor who took me to ER. Damn ER nurse wiped the blood off with alcohol swabs and I screamed bloody murder. She apologized for the mistake and got some sterile water and gauze pads to finish.

Children like squash have no understanding of what my (our?) generation went through to make life easy for them.

I hear you....I am just on the cusp of being a boomer...if you take the traditional definition of being born Before Kennedy was shot I missed it by 3 years. My Parents are both Boomers so I have always laid claim to being Generation X but some people my age could be Boomers...

Easy? $18 trillion in debt, 0% interest on savings, too big to fail, fighting wars all over the world and ourkey earning years will sucked up making up the difference between what the Boomers promised to themselves and the actual money available.

Multigenerational dependents on the system due to the war on poverty...single parent families...frick, you clowns can't even afford to pay for their kids to go to college so you encourage them to go in debt.

But hey...at least we got plenty of igadgets to stare at so we can be more productive and spend less time communicating like live human beings.

Don't worry though...we'll suffer through it and get this shite straightened out.

All kidding aside....you apparently don't have to work so why do you still do this? There's probably a younger Tech guy who could do this or be trained and needs the money?

It seems like Boomers always define themselves by their work. I'm not criticizing but there are generational differences that are interesting.

Hey...I didn't say GenX was perfect. We're fricking game and tech addicts....probably because we crave any type of interaction since we raised ourselves because our parents were always working.

Why are you frickers getting so upset? We haven't even mentioned the useless millennials yet....

Haha, somebody on this thread said they were going to be the best generation since the "Greatest Generation." I shite myself a little laughing so hard at that. Millennials are going to go down as the "Entitled Generation." I mean they all get participation trophies! fricking brats.

They may be the first true serfs of the American experiment. Most X'ers who pay attention have plenty of opportunity due to retiring Boomers ...but we know how to work the system.

Boomers judge their worth on how many hours they spend at work.

I judge my success on whether I can live comfortably and have time to spend with my kids and family.

Millennials judge their worth on how many likes they get on Facebook.

So wait...Newt isn't conservative (which was my point earlier)? I thought you were going for the Clinton angle which is why I didn't waste my time.

That's my philosophy in life. Balance. I live comfortably but I also don't believe in buying a bunch of stupid shite and getting myself over extended.

lol, no i thought that was your angle.

and you're right... stuck between the Boomers and the Millenials (who half are strung out on Ritalin and SSRIs) we're doomed.

This is by far the greatest achievement of your generation....working to live instead of living to work. This is the reason that preceding generations worked as hard as they did so their prodigy would be in a position that they did not have to. Not that your generation won't work hard when necessary but learning to be happy within yourself is the secret of true happiness...

I said that and I stick by it...the younger Gen Xer's and the older millenials are some of the best people I have ever met in my life...they amaze me with their outlook on life....and they are much less gullible than older Gen Xers and Boomers. I have been blessed to work side by side with these folks in a situation where they are not exactly experiencing the easiest path through life (I interact daily with young military people) and I am telling you these folks are great human beings and will do fine in life....and they can thank their parents as all generations can...for the good and the bad...
